The Ministry of International Relations and Trade is closely monitoring ongoing anti-illegal migration demonstrations in South Africa. Executive Director Ndiitah Nghipondoka-Robiati confirmed that no Namibian nationals have so far been affected by the unrest.

Hundreds of Namibians domiciled in Zambia thronged the High Commission in Lusaka for the belated Independence celebrations.

The event was organised by the Namibian High Commission in Zambia.

These are Namibians who are in Zambia for various reasons other than business and education.
