Absai Uetuesapi Mungendje dies

The community of Omaheke said it has lost a family man, Absai Uetuesapi Mungendje, who always advocated for peace among his people.

Mungendje aged 99 died last week. 
 
The traditional priest was residing at Toasis, at the homestead of the late Hosea Kutako in the Aminuis Constituency.

Young women complete tailoring training in Kavango East Region

About 16 young women from the Kavango East Region completed their training in tailoring through the Dreams program.

The graduates also received toolkits comprising of sewing machines, materials, and ironing boards to start their own businesses.

Heavy rain destroyed houses at the Visually Impaired Center in Sauyema, at Rundu.

The heavy rain, accompanied by wind, started at around 06h00 on Thursday.

Residents say they were in their rooms sheltering from the rain when all of a sudden a branch of a tree fell on the rooftop. 

German Government delegation visits Nakayale VTC

The German Cooperation government-to-government delegation led by Marieke Wagenhavser visited Nakayale Vocational Training Center in the Omusati Region to see how their funded project has been developed.

The delegation also visited the GIZ-sponsored youth agricultural training center at Outapi.
