Otavi roads to be upgraded

Otavi residents will heave a sigh of relief as roads, will be upgraded this year to address the pothole issue within the town centre and informal areas.

Otavi Mayor, Isaac !Hoaeb revealed that over N$700 000 has been set aside to refurbish the roads.

Ngwangwa Primary School receives stationery

More than 150 underprivileged learners of the Ngwangwa Primary School in the Kavango West Region received school uniforms and stationery, worth N$50 000.

Rent a Drum, Snyman Transport, Shoprite and Woermann Brock this week collectively made the donation. 

FNB Inaugurates Science Laboratory at Kanono Combined School

The First National Bank of Namibia has inaugurated a science laboratory at Kanono Combined School in the Zambezi Region.

The fully equipped science laboratory will enhance teaching and learning in science subjects at the school.

Government to Rehabilitate Duineveld Boreholes

The Namibian government will soon rehabilitate eight boreholes at Duineveld Settlement in the Hardap Region.

The Director of Water Supply and Sanitation, Dr. Elijah Ngurare, says the community of Duineveld is supplied with water from a borehole that is situated on private land.

The Minister of Agriculture, Water, and Land Minister of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform, Carl Schlettwein, says his ministry will first monitor the current boreholes at Groot Aub, which are said to be without water, before considering other options.
