President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah emphasized the need for landlocked countries like Zambia to gain access to essential commodities, particularly oil, through efficient transport routes. 

The legacies of the late Founding President of Namibia, Dr. Sam Nujoma, and the late President Dr. Hage Geingob were honoured in Lusaka through the renaming of two major roads: Sadzu Road and Kasama Road, respectively.

The plane carrying the Namibian President touched down at Kenneth Kaunda international airport in Lusaka Zambia this afternoon.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and her Botswana counterpart, Duma Boko, have proposed joint economic projects to shield the economies of the two countries from external shocks.

This is after the two leaders bemoaned the inequalities facing the people of both countries, terming it as unacceptable.

Members of Parliament in the National Council have raised their concern with unequal development in the country, calling on the President to intervene and ensure that the living conditions of Namibians are improved. 

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called on Namibians to emulate the legacy of the late Founding President, Sam Nujoma, in conserving the environment for future generations.

In remembrance of the late Nujoma, she urged them to make tree planting an annual gesture, as they did today.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has appealed to Namibians to reward mothers with protection, love and compassion. 

The President made the appeal against the backdrop of the observance of Mother’s Day on May 11th. 

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has praised the Omagongo Festival as a vital platform for honouring tradition and reaffirming the commitment to preserving cultural heritage for future generations.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called on traditional leaders to work alongside the government in combating domestic violence, particularly the abuse of women and children.
