The Swapo Party Women's Council (SPWC) Central Committee held its meeting at Outapi.
Officially opening the meeting, First Lady Monica Geingos also launched the Swapo Party Women's Council Research and Advisory Cadre Committee.
The First Ladies of Namibia and the US, Monica Geingos and Jill Biden, have joined forces to inspire and empower young people to take on leadership roles and embrace democracy.
Their message was clear: the future belongs to the youth, and they must be prepared to take on the challenges that lie ahead.
First Lady Monica Geingos announced that U.S First Lady Jill Biden will travel to Namibia on Wednesday.
Dr. Biden’s visit will strengthen the United States’ partnerships on the African continent, and advance shared priorities in the region.
At Otjiwarongo in the Otjozondjupa Region, learners celebrated the Day of the Namibian Child by sharing poems. Learners at the Monica Geingos, Karundu Junior and Donatus secondary schools entertained the gathering.
