President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called on Namibians to replace silence and stigma surrounding suicide with open conversations, understanding and support.

The Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) handed over chairs, wheelchairs, walking aids, and baby feeding chairs valued at N$37,500 to the Office of the Erongo Governor.

NamRA's Regional Manager, Patrick Tongo, said the goods were confiscated after their owners contravened the Customs and Excise Act.

The Swapo Party's Oshana branch held a self-introspection following the recently held Presidential and National Assembly Elections, which saw an 11% decrease in support.

Japan's Ambassador to Namibia, Nishimaki Hisao, expressed condolences to the government and the people of Namibia on the death of the late Hage Geingob.

Hisao said this during the celebration of Japan's Emperor's birthday, where he also reaffirmed his country and Namibia's strong ties.

Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema says his government will continue the support that has been extended to Namibia even after the funeral of the late President Hage Geingob.
