Reigning Miss Keetmanshoop Secondary School, Cayren Engelbrecht has launched a youth-led initiative called Project Bloom to break menstrual stigma in schools.

Crowned on 3rd July, Engelbrecht is turning her crown into purpose by using her platform to drive social change.

No More VAT on Sanitary Products

No value-added tax will be charged on sanitary pad products as of early next year.

The Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises announced in a statement that the No Value Added Tax Amendment Act, 2022, will come into effect on January 1, 2023.

Law students donate sanitary products to female inmates

A group of final-year law students donated sanitary products to female inmates at the Windhoek Correctional Facility. The donation was facilitated through the LLB Aid Handover Programme. 

The donation was comprised of bathing soaps, sanitary pads, nappies, lotion, toothpaste, and other personal items.
