GIZ develops biodiversity economy in selected areas

Almost 70 percent of the Namibian population depends on biodiversity and natural resources to earn a living. Through the GIZ Biodiversity Economy Project, GIZ has been at the forefront of biodiversity protection by supporting campsites that are developed in an environmentally friendly way.

Farmers receive horticulture training

About one hundred subsistence farmers in the Kavango East Region received horticulture training to profit from their produce, courtesy of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

GIZ has been offering training to subsistence farmers in the agronomy value chain for close to three years.

German Government delegation visits Nakayale VTC

The German Cooperation government-to-government delegation led by Marieke Wagenhavser visited Nakayale Vocational Training Center in the Omusati Region to see how their funded project has been developed.

The delegation also visited the GIZ-sponsored youth agricultural training center at Outapi.
