The bilateral ties between Namibia and the USA would continue to remain stable, anchored on democratic principles.

President Nangolo Mbumba and US Ambassador Randy Berry reaffirmed this in light of the general elections that took place in both countries.

Omusati Electoral Officer Elizabeth Shiningayamwe has expressed concerns about the insufficient number of vehicles needed from the public for the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) during the Presidential and National Assembly Elections in her region.

Some 5,042 police officers will be deployed to 2,521 polling teams, covering 4,677 polling stations countrywide, in preparation for the Presidential and National Assembly elections on Wednesday.

Residents of Tsintsabis Settlement in Oshikoto's Guinas Constituency say they are headed to next week's polls with mixed feelings, largely disappointed with the lack of development in their area.

The community says they are tired of surviving from government handouts.
