The President of the Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP), Mike Kavekotora, has pledged to introduce a progressive inheritance tax of approximately 50% if elected to govern.

He made this announcement during the launch of the party's manifesto in Ongwediva.

The Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) has joined other political parties in condemning the Electoral Commission of Namibia's (ECN) decision to appoint a company that would be entrusted to print ballot papers for the November national elections.

The president of the Rally for Democracy and Progress, Mike Kavekotora, and Vice President Kennedy Shekupakela retained their respective positions at the recently held 4th National Ordinary Convention in Rundu. 

The Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) MP Kennedy Shekupakela questioned the Minister of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform regarding the challenges faced by farmers beyond the Red Line. 

The increase in the number of seals in the population threatens the fish species in the Namibian waters, hence the need to control them.

Opposition MPs in the National Assembly said the medium-term budget does not address issues facing the youth, nor does the government have concrete plans to tackle unemployment and housing.
