The police in Kunene Region recorded a positive downward trend in reported crime during the period under review.

The Khomas and Oshana regions have outlined investments in sports infrastructure and youth development, with regional leaders highlighting projects aimed at strengthening grassroots sport and creating opportunities for young athletes.

The 14 regional governors will begin delivering their annual State of the Region Addresses (SORAs) from Monday, providing updates on development initiatives, challenges and plans across their respective regions.

The Ohangwena Region has recorded a number of achievements in sectors such as health, agriculture, water and land distribution during the 2024/2025 financial year.

These achievements were reported by Ohangwena Governor Kadiva Hamutumwa during her maiden State of the Region Address at Eenhana.

Omusati Governor Immanuel Shikongo highlighted some of the developmental projects undertaken in his region when he delivered the State of the Region Address at Outapi.

The Kavango West Region has prioritised empowering communities, transforming agriculture, and creating sustainable employment, which are at the top of its list.

Governor Verna Sinimbo said this while delivering her maiden State of the Region Address on Friday.

In the Kavango East Region, an amount of over N$243 million was invested in the health care programmes over the last financial year.

The funds went towards the renovation of two district hospitals, three healthcare centres, and 25 clinics and assisted in the outreach programme.

Zambezi Governor Dorothy Kabula has outlined development programmes that aim to accelerate service delivery while also building on inclusive growth during her maiden State of the Region address. 

The health sector in the ||Kharas Region is facing severe workforce shortages, limited mental health services, and disparities in access to health services between urban and rural communities. 

This is despite substantial investments in infrastructure and equipment.

Otjozondjupa Governor John ||Khamuseb has said the region continues to make great strides in strengthening access to quality healthcare and social welfare services.

||Khamuseb highlighted the region's achievements during his State of the Region address in Otjiwarongo last week.
