Various stakeholders were summoned to appear for a meeting at the Kavango East Regional Council, following the water crisis at Ndama Junior Primary School in Rundu. 

The councillor of Mukwe Constituency, Damian Maghambayi, urged the Minister of Finance to intervene in the upgrade of the Divundu Muhembo border road. Maghambayi was speaking during the belated 34th Independence Day celebration held at Bagani over the weekend.

Deputy Prime Minister John Mutorwa is concerned about the delays in the distribution of drought relief food in the regions.

About 36 homesteads were damaged by heavy rains during this week at Shamaghongo Village in Kavango East Region. Currently some affected villagers are being accommodated in their neighbours' houses. The Councilor of Mukwe Constituency Damian Maghambayi called on good Samaritans to assist the villagers.

Kavango East Regional Council only managed to implement 70% of its intended projects in the 2022–2023 financial year.

This was revealed at a review and planning meeting held at Rundu.
