The 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations has ended with Cameroon winning their first continental title after a 3-0 victory over Malawi in the final in Morocco.

FC Ongos Ladies, champions of the recently concluded 2023/2024 First National Bank Women's Super League, are breaking new ground. 

The team has become the first in Namibia to offer professional contracts and salaries to its female players.

Brave Gladiators' forward Annoushka Kordom has announced that she will be taking a step back from doing national duties, citing unresolved issues with team management, including uncertainties relating to payment.

Kordom said this on her social media platforms on Wednesday.
