Discussions on the Appropriation Bill commenced today, with MPs stating that more should be put towards development projects rather than operational costs, which now exceed N$80 billion, with only N$3,6 billion allocated towards development expenditure.

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare has inaugurated the N$500 million Gaidip Oasis Agricultural Project near the banks of the Orange River in the ||Kharas Region.

Dr. Ngurare inaugurated the project on behalf of President Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah. 

The Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) has won the WAIPA Investment Excellence Award for its creative investment promotion efforts.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has urged the public and private sectors, as well as other stakeholders, to collectively address the challenges hindering Namibia's prosperity.

Nandi-Ndaitwah made the appeal when she opened the first-ever Namibia Public-Private Forum (NamPPF) in Windhoek.
