A 22-year-old suspect in the Shannon Wasserfall murder case has been denied bail in the Walvis Bay Magistrate's court. Steven Junior Mulundu made his first appearance for murder and obstruction of justice. Police say Mulundu handed himself over to them on Thursday night at the Narraville Police station. He is the second suspect arrested in connection with the murder, while his sister Azaan Madisia is the first suspect. Mulundu and Madisia will appear together in court on 7 December after the state opposed bail. Due to the seriousness of the charges, bail was denied. It is alleged that Madisia phoned Mulundu to help her dispose of Wasserfall's body, where it was discovered in the dunes on the outskirts of Walvis Bay. Wasserfall had been missing since April, and her body was found in a shallow grave in October.
