The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested two sitting SWAPO local authority council members and a former chairperson of the management committee of Oniipa Town Council. ACC spokesperson Josephine Nghituwamata confirmed the arrest for alleged corruption committed by the trio dating back to 2018. Sources within the council told NBC News that in 2018, the three conspired, and employed a candidate who did not qualify for the position and elbowed out the actual candidate who scored high in an interview. The names of the three, although known to NBC, are withheld as the suspects are yet to appear before Ondangwa Magistrate Court today. This is a developing story.
