Armed robbery at Endombo Cash Loan over the weekend

Four armed men allegedly robbed Endombo Cash Loan in Oshakati West of N$1 900 and three cell phones with a combined value of N$6 000 on Friday. In a crime report issued on Sunday, Inspector Thomas Aiyambo of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Community Affairs office in the Oshana Region said the incident happened at around 15h00 when four men allegedly appeared in the premises of the cash loan pretending to be customers and one of them pointed a pistol at the lady behind the counter. It is further alleged that the other three men allegedly kicked the door of the same counter to gain entry to the inside and demanded money while kicking and beating up the cash loan employees. “They took a small safe with N$1 900 and three cell phones valued at N$6 000 plus a wallet with documents,” said the NamPol inspector, adding that the assailants then walked out and jumped in a getaway car, a silver Toyota Corolla without registration plate numbers. Aiyambo indicated that no arrest has been made, and nothing was recovered. Police investigation into the matter is ongoing.
