Bank of Namibia cautions against use of dye-stained South African bank notes

The Bank of Namibia has warned against the use of dye-stained South African banknotes. The bank says some of the stained notes may have ended up in Namibia after the recent looting of businesses. In a statement, the bank says the dye-stained notes could as well be circulating in Namibia, following the looting, which included the breaking of ATM machines and other infrastructure in that country.
