The Botswana Defence Force has confirmed that they shot dead four people at Kasane. The circumstances leading to their shooting had however not been explained by the BDF. The BDF confirmed the deaths to NDF on inquiry after family members reported that the men did not return home from their fishing trip on Thursday. OnThursday Nampol members at Impalila Island heard shots fired but their investigation did not find anything untoward. Investigations into the death of the four continue and further details will be provided as information becomes available.
