City Police apprehend two known criminals in possession of pistols and housebreaking tools

The Windhoek City Police on Wednesday evening apprehended suspects just before the 21h00 curfew kicked in. The City Police were carrying out a routine patrol in the Suiderhof area and spotted a taxi carrying three occupants. Upon searching the taxi, officers discovered a firearm with the serial number scratched out, balaclavas and other tools used in housebreakings. Two 38-year-old suspects, including the taxi driver, are detained at the Windhoek Central Police Station. The two suspects are known to the police.
