Community engagement is the best way to educate, especially marginalised communities, on the dangers and threats of human trafficking and other issues, such as Gender-Based Violence. This was the view of Nguundja Tjaondjo, the Ministry of Gender Equality Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare's Chief Community Liaison Officer in Kalahari Constituency, while addressing the official commemoration of Trafficking in Persons Day.
