Companies and institutions close due to COVID-19

Due to COVID-19 positive tests of staff members a number of companies in Namibia are forced to close their doors for 14 days. NAMWATER is one such company that announced today that it will temporarily close its head office in Windhoek. A positive case that was recorded at the National Council yesterday is said to have been in contact with a NAMWATER staff member. The company is forced to take measures to prevent further contacts among its employees. In the interest of the company's customers and employees, NAMWATER has declared an immediate closure of their head office in Windhoek. All employees at the head office evacuated the building today and will only return on 3 August 2020. In a statement, Namwater said that the building will be disinfected. They further said that the employees who are concerned will be assisted with testing of the virus.
