The Institute for Public Policy Research says the corruption situation in Namibia is serious with a number of high-profile cases either not having resulted in arrests, or are now the subject of drawn-out court proceedings. In an effort to further tackle corruption in Namibia, the (IPPR) on Tuesday launched a project called Integrity Namibia. Funded by the US Embassy, Integrity Namibia is a three-year project which will establish a National Anti-Corruption network operating across civil society, private sector, the media, traditional authorities, faith-based organisations and other non-state actors. The project will also include the establishment of an online whistleblower reporting platform.
