The outbreak of COVID-19 has affected the economies of many middle-income countries in Africa, including Namibia. United Nations' Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa, Vera Songwe says these countries have not been receiving much support with a number of industries collapsing as a result. Songwe made these remarks when he paid a courtesy call on President Hage Geingob at State House.
