The Deputy Minister of Marginalised Communities Royal /Ui/o/oo was rushed to a clinic today after he was hit by a pole at an event he was officiating at Nkurenkuru in Kavango West. /Ui/o/oo was at a handover ceremony of corrugated iron sheet houses constructed for the San communities at Nkurenkuru. However, his stay there was abruptly cut short after a loose pole from the tent unhinged and hit him on the head, causing injury. He was rushed to the D H private clinic in Nkurenkuru. The clinic's managing director Dr Kleophas Henok in a telephonic interview confirmed that /Ui/o/oo was treated at the clinic where he was stitched up. Henok described the injury as moderate and the minister is in a stable condition.
