An economist has urged the Ministry of Finance to ensure emergency contingency funds in the 2020/21 Budget, to protect the country's fragile economy from a potential crisis should there be a sudden upsurge of Coronavirus infections. Economic expert, Mally Likukela, speaking in an interview with NBC News, says the country should prepare for a worst-case scenario, in the event of an upsurge.
