Elephant population in Namibia increases

The Minister of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT), Pohamba Shifeta says, Namibia's conservation efforts have not only resulted in a drastic increase in the numbers of elephants, but has also seen an expansion in the range where elephants can be found. Shifeta addressed conservation stakeholders at the handing over of equipment to the ministry's anti-poaching unit, where three new wildlife management plans and conservation strategies were also launched, at Susuwe in the Zambezi Region.
