Face-to-face classes for Grade 11 learners at Mupewa Combined School in the Oshana Region have been suspended. This is after a learner who came into contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19, allegedly behaved irresponsibly. The school principal said it has been confirmed that the male learner is indeed a close contact of a confirmed case from Oshikuku. The learner allegedly went on a rampage, spitting on all desks and door handles with the intention of infecting other learners. The school has taken this serious as it is a violation of the health protocols and has since started with disciplinary action against the learner in question. All the affected learners will in the meantime stay at home until next Monday, pending the test results of the unruly learner.
