Foreign trained medical graduates will now be expected to go through an orientation programme before allowed to practice. The orientation programme is designed to accommodate and afford them an opportunity to enter internships. Health and Social Services Minister Dr Kalumbi Shangula announced this in his ministerial statement in the National Assembly.
