President Hage Geingob has conferred a state funeral on the Aguste Mukwahepo Immanuel, the former PLAN combatant who died last week. A period of mourning has also been declared as from Wednesday until Friday, while the national flags will be flown at half mast. President Geingob in a statement described Mukwahepo as fearless and inspiring during the difficult time of the liberation struggle. She was the first Swapo woman to receive military training for the struggle.
