Founding President, Sam Nujoma says people who perished in the Cassinga massacre are heroes and heroines of the revolution and they will forever be remembered for their heroic deeds. Nujoma vividly remembers that fateful day when a majority of women and children were killed by the South African Defence Force, who attacked a SWAPO base at Cassinga in southern Angola.
