Ministry of Mines and Energy has announced fuel prices from 1 September by 60 cents per litre for petrol and 30 cents per litre for diesel. In a media statement issued on Friday, the ministry said fuel pump prices in Walvis Bay will thus increase to N$ 14.15 per litre for petrol and N$ 13.88 for diesel. The statement furthers stated that prices across the country will also be adjusted accordingly. It added that the National Energy Fund will cover the entirety of the under-recoveries recorded for the month of August 2021 on behalf of fuel consumers through the fuel equalisation levy.
