German minister hopeful his government will own up to Namibian atrocities

The German minister from the State of Thuringia, Wolfgang Tiefensee is hopeful that the political relations between Namibia and Germany would see to it that his country can own up to atrocities committed against the OvaHerero and Nama communities from 1904-1908. As the genocide talks are receiving high level attention between Namibia and Germany, Wolfgang Tiefensee, in a conciliatory tone said the admission of wrongdoing would ensure that future relations are sound.
