Despite the progress made in the national COVID-19 vaccine coverage, the uptake is still slow. The Minister of Health and Social Services Dr Kalumbi Shangula says the slow uptake could lead to Namibia falling short of reaching its target of vaccinating at least 60% of the population. Government and other stakeholders, however, are devising incentives to encourage vaccine uptake by all eligible Namibians.
