The Trade Union Congress of Namibia (TUCNA) and the Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation will conduct an investigation into some trends in the retrenchments that happened during the lockdown and suspected to have been done unlawfully. The ministry and the trade union revealed this during an online public dialogue focusing on fighting against COVID-19 and safeguarding jobs and livelihoods.
