Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) has committed itself to reduce newborn mortality rate from 20 to 10 per 1 000 live births by 2021/22. The ministry also plans to reduce maternal mortality from 385 to 200 per 100 000 live births. This came to light at the commemoration of Patient Safety Day, which was observed at Rundu on Friday.
