Rainfall predicted in the southern parts of Namibia, finally came, with a burst of thunder. The Namibia Meteorological Service sent out a warning over the weekend of widespread thundershowers expected in the //Kharas and Hardap regions. They advised residents and travellers to take the necessary precautions. Despite this warning, many Keetmanshoop residents came out to enjoy the rain, some not observing COVID-19 regulations. For the region's farmers, however, the good rains are a relief.
