Human remains discovered at Otjomuise

Human remains were discovered in Windhoek’s Otjomuise residential area on Saturday, the Namibian Police Force’s weekend crime report indicates. The report said the human remains were found buried by a 19-year-old male digging in a yard. NAMPOL opened an inquest docket and investigations continue. At Otunganga village in the Ohangwena Region, two girls identified as four-year-old Veronika Jeremia and six-year-old Toini Nanghonda, died after they were reportedly struck by lightning. Their next of kin were informed and police investigations continue. Another inquest docket was opened by the police at Otjomuise on Saturday. According to the crime report, at the Community Lifestyle Estate flats in Stockholm Street, the lifeless body of 26-year-old Maria Paulus was found hanging in their bathroom with shoelaces around her neck. A suicide note was found on the scene and police investigations continue. Furthermore, on Sunday, in the Havana area in Windhoek, 22-year-old Tulela Hamukoto died after being electrocuted while allegedly busy cutting electric cables. His next of kin were informed and police investigations continue. The police at Nkurenkuru opened an inquest docket after the lifeless, naked body of an unidentified male was found floating in the Kavango River at Mayara village on Saturday. Upon investigation, it was noticed that the deceased had a rope tied around his neck. Police investigations continue. -NAMPA
