The N$3,9 billion International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan to Namibia did not come with conditions nor has the Government entered into a managed economic programme. The loan under IMF's Rapid Financial Instrument to be repaid over five years is to fund budget programmes to enable the government to cope with the adverse impacts of COVID-19 on the lives of the people.
