President Hage Geingob has re-appointed Johannes !Gawaxab as Governor and Ebson Uanguta as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Namibia, both for a period of five years, effective from 1 January 2022. The current Director of the Namibian Financial Intelligence Centre, Leonie Dunn, has also been appointed as second Deputy Governor for a period of five years, effective from the day she starts. President Geingob expressed confidence in the abilities of the three senior officials, noting that he has no doubt that they will execute their duties with commitment and fairness.
