Katima Mulilo Police recover fuel at a house in New Cowboy area

The Namibian Police (NAMPOL) at Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi Region found multiple containers of fuel at a house in New Cowboy location this afternoon. The more than 50 containers range from 25 litres to a 200 litre drum containing 100 liters of fuel. Some were found in a house while some were found in seven-seater mini-buses around the same house. Zambezi Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Karel Theron, told NBC News at the scene that law enforcement received information from members of the community, regarding the suspected syndicate dealing in fuel destined for Katima Mulilo and Sesheke in Zambia through ungazzetted entry points and across the Zambezi River. Three male suspects were taken for questioning while others ran away after seeing law enforcement at their premises.
