The Katima Mulilo Town Council is putting measures in place to equip the firefighting department to avoid another disaster like the recent incident when the Shoprite Complex at the town was destroyed by fire. The complex was burnt to ashes last week ago, as taps ran dry after a water disconnection at the town.
