A significant number of children from Katutura turned up to witness the Deputy Mayor of Windhoek, Clemencia Hanases switch on the city's Christmas lights along Independence avenue in Katutura last night. It has been a Windhoek tradition that every festive season the city mayor or deputy mayor switches on the Christmas lights as a way to welcome the festive season.
