Issa Garises, Curator at the Keetmanshoop Museum welcomed the decision, by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to inscribe Namastap, the ancestral musical sound knowledge and skills of Nama-speaking communities in Namibia on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
