Primary Schools at Keetmanshoop are already full to capacity. Parents on Friday were still scrambling to find placements for their children before the opening of the academic year on 10 January. Some school principals told NBC News that they had turned away some parents, especially for Grade 1 admission, as schools are full. Parents who could not secure placement for their children have been referred to the Kalahari Education Circuit Office to be placed on a waiting list.
