Considering the dent in the country's economy due to the impact of COVID-19, the Labour Resource and Research Institute(LaRRI) feels more funds need to be allocated to the informal sector in the national budget that will be tabled in the National Assembly on Wednesday. Around 60% of the country's labour force is employed in the informal sector.
