The Landless Peoples Movement (LPM) condemned the alleged tribal remarks against the Nama tribe allegedly made by a teacher at a school in Bethanie on social media. The LPM says such remarks cannot be taken lightly as the country needs to unite in the fight against tribalism. In a media statement, LPM lamented that such hatred should not be tolerated as it defeats the purpose of nation-building and the spirit of ubuntu. The party further questioned the mental health of the teacher and psychosocial support provided to them during this time of COVID-19.
