LPM withdraws two of its representatives in the Mariental Town Council

The Landless People's Movement (LPM) has withdrawn two of its representatives from the Mariental Town Council. The councillors who have been axed are the management committee chairperson, Rogetha Haack and ordinary council management member Daniel Gariseb. LPM operative secretary Edson Isaack confirmed the recall. According to him, the decision was taken by the party's Political Action Group (PAC) last week after it appeared they had forgotten the party's mandate of working together at all times. The LPM MP said Andy Paul Boois and Franciscka Gawases will replace the axed councillors, as party representative in the Mariental Town Council. He stressed that the LPM political office bearers should work collectively for the interest of the electorate, and warned those disregarding that could face the same fate as Haack and Gariseb. LPM holds five of the seven seats in the Mariental town council.
