A 37-year-old electrician died after suspectedly being electrocuted on Tuesday afternoon. Andries Oberholzer, an employee of HopSol Solar Company was working a few kilometres outside Omaruru at the NamPower station when the incident occurred. It is alleged that, on Tuesday, Andries Oberholzer fell on the ground, unconscious. He was allegedly shocked while he was busy with his colleagues, connecting solar electricity at the NamPower station site, outside Omaruru. The colleagues allegedly rushed him to Omaruru State hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The deceased was working for HopSol Solar Company, Windhoek. The body is being kept at Omaruru State hospital and it will be brought to Walvis Bay Police mortuary later today for postmortem. No foul play is suspected so far. The next of kin were informed and investigation into the matter continues.
