Namibia's public policy and strategy consultant, Matthew ||Gowasebhas been endorsed to serve on the African Peer Review Mechanism's Review Panel of Eminent Persons. ||Gowaseb's candidacy was endorsed during the summit of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) of Heads of State and Government on Friday. The Review Panel of Eminent Persons is responsible for leading the country's assessment process, with a view to ensure its independence, professionalism and credibility. Matthew ||Gowaseb is taking over from Tanzania's Ombeni Sefue whose four-year term on the Panel has ended. The Panel meets only when required to review and make objective assessments of the recommendations in the country review reports submitted to it by the APRM Secretariat. ||Gowaseb and Zambia's Dr Inonge Mbikusita- Lewanika are presenting southern Africa on the Panel.
